A new opportunity presented itself recently - the chance to be one of the hosts of a podcast. Garrett Bernethy, a preacher friend, contacted me a few years ago with the idea. After several conversations and planning sessions, the podcast is finally underway. It is called “Untied: Life Outside the Auditorium.”

“Untied” is your go-to podcast for unraveling the complexities of Christian living in today’s world. In it, we explore how to apply Biblical wisdom to everyday challenges, empowering you to bring faith into practical action. Each episode dives into Christian doctrine, offering clarity and fresh perspectives on how it intersects with modern life, making you feel capable of living a Christian life today. We tackle tough questions and everyday struggles, from understanding the credibility of the Bible to navigating the influence of secular worldviews. Our conversations also shine a light on the real experiences of preachers and church leaders, reminding us that they are just as human as we are, fostering a sense of understanding and connection. 

The “Untied” podcast is focused on maintaining both a scriptural basis and understanding as we “untie” ourselves from the traditions and worldviews that are held. Our goal is to view things as God does and not from man’s perspective so that we may live a pleasing life in His eyes. Whether you’re seeking to deepen your Bible study, challenge your perspectives, or find a community of like-minded believers, ”Untied” is here to guide and inspire you on your spiritual journey.

Garrett Bernethy is one of the hosts. Garrett is a preacher in Hydro, OK. He has directed and participated in many camps, retreats, conferences, and workshops. He is the President of Excel Still More, Inc., and an annual writer and instructor for the Excel Still More Bible Workshop.

Tyler King also hosts it. He is the College-Age Minister for the North MacArthur Church of Christ in Oklahoma City. He is one of my closest friends and is like an adopted son. His wife, Natalie, is the daughter of Wes and Teri Autrey, Melody and my closest friends in Denver.
