Letters to the Editor and Guest Column Policy

Posted

We value the voices of our readers and their contributions to our community discourse. Below are our policies for submitting Letters to the Editor and Guest Columns:

Letters to the Editor

Letters to the Editor are intended as responses to articles or editorials that have been published in the Dresden Enterprise and Martin Post. While we welcome thoughtful discussion and diverse viewpoints, these letters are not meant to serve as a public forum for any unrelated grievances or personal “axes to grind.” We encourage you to share your perspectives on specific content that has appeared in our newspaper, and letters should be concise, respectful, and relevant to the topic at hand.

Guest Columns

We welcome readers to submit Guest Columns for our consideration. These columns may be published at our discretion and should focus on local issues affecting the citizens of Weakley County. For instance, while national topics like the presidential campaign are important, our focus is on matters that directly impact our local community. That said, we may make exceptions if a local author wishes to share their perspective on broader issues that carry relevance to our readers.

Content Guidelines for Letters and Columns

All submissions, whether a Letter to the Editor or a Guest Column, must maintain a civil tone. We will not publish content that contains personal attacks, hate speech, or uncivil commentary toward any individual or group. Our aim is to foster respectful dialogue and to provide a platform for sharing ideas that benefit and inform our community.

Submissions can be sent to enterprise@dresdenenterprise.com. We look forward to hearing from you and providing a space for your voice within our pages.
