Dresden Cross Country Teams Bring Home Four Team Titles During Paducah Races

Dresden Elementary School Girls’ team earned first place. All female runners finished the 1-mile race within the top 30 of 107 competitors. Taeylyn Travathan, DES’s first female finisher, came in 2^nd with a time of 6:44 min. Matilda Hubbard came in 4^th with a time of 7:02. Tymber Ferrell came in 6^th with a time of 7:06. Also finishing for DES were Paola Rodriguez (12^th), Nevaeh Fulgham (13^th), Elena Bounds (16^th), and Breelyn Smith (26^th).

DES Boys were led by Jaxon Lamb, who came in 5^th with a time of 6:32. Briar Biggers finished 18^th (7:04), Bennett Wilhite finished 27^th (7:22) and Hudson Meeks finished 31^st (7:29).

Also bringing home a team first place finish was the DMS girls 4K. Sasha Rodriguez (16:30 -1^st ) and Peyton Oliver(16:31-2^nd) took the lead from the start and kept pace for the entire race, finishing neck and neck. Maggie Robinson (18:05 -4^th) , Emzy Collins (18:14-5^th) and Nella Wilhite (18:19-7^th) led the next pack of runners and earning top 10 finishes. Kinsley Smith came in 21^st of 74 runners with a time of 19:52, Gwendolyn Bounds 29^th – 21:36, Kinlee Harris 45^th – 23:23, and Maci Jo Buckley 54^th – 25:13.

Another team win was DMS boys 4k, bringing home 3^rd place overall. Miles Cary finished 2^nd with a time of 15:09. Benjamin Pettit finished 4^th with a time of 15:11, Wyatt Craig 17^th (16:28), John Robert Jolley 26^th (17:57), Sebastian Hubbard 58^th (34:43) and Braden Mayhall 68^th (28:22).

DHS girls brought home 3^rd place of 7 teams and 63 individual competitors for the female 5K race. Bailey Collie earned 5^th with a time of 22:01. Lily Pash finished 10^th with a time of 22:51. Tess Ogg earned 29^th (26:36), Molly Robinson finished 36^th (27:27) and Caroline Stephenson finished 41^st (26:37).

Brice Rother led the DHS boys XC team, completing the race in 22^nd place with a time of 18:50. Carson Brownlow-Rendon finished 36^th (19:42), Jesse Pash 51^st (20:54), Christian Pash 55^th (21:03), Vaughn Bounds 56^th (21:07), and Carter Oliver 99^th (23:26). Dresden High School will travel to Troy at Obion Central for the Best of the West competitions, Oct 1^st.
