Richard Hugh Bowlin 1954 - 2025

Richard Hugh Bowlin of Henderson, Tn, formerly of Dresden, Tn, passed away in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tn on March 8, 2025. He was 70 years old. He was born in Chicago, Il on May 1, 1954, to the late Bob Bowlin and the late Sue Jolley Bowlin.

After graduating from Dresden High School Rick went on to earn a degree in accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant. However, after working for a few years, his love for being outside led him to a career in contracting and building, utilizing his skills as a carpenter learned from his father. That and his love for music filled the rest of his active life.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother and father and his grandparents Golden and Virgie O’Steen Bowlin and Chester and Lola Leech Jolley and his brother-in-law Dave Lovelace. He is survived by his son, Russell Bowlin, his daughter, Stephanie Bowlin McIntyre (Mike), his sister, Nancy Bowlin Lovelace, two granddaughters, Mia and Ella McIntyre, three nieces, Teresa Stehl Sutherland (David), Sandra Stehl Dema (Jim), and Julie Stehl, two great-nephews, Adam Sutherland (Abby) and Drew Sutherland, and one great-niece, Lily Sutherland.

Visitation for friends and family will be at 4:00pm, March 21, at the Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden, Tn with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 and burial in the Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. The service will be officiated by David Sutherland.
