Reba Nell Auvenshine 1934-2024

Reba Nell Auvenshine age 89 of Latham, TN., passed away on June 17th , 2024 at home surrounded by her children and loved ones.  She was born September 18, 1934 in Weakley County, TN.  Reba met the love of her life, Vennie (Bennie) Auvenshine.  They were married on June 10, 1950 in Corinth, MS. and were happily married for 70 years.  Reba was preceded in death by her husband Vennie (Bennie) Auvenshine.  She is survived by her son, Terry Auvenshine, her daughters; Sherry (Ken) Williams, Paula (Ron) Gekle, Vonda (Ron) Nave and Freddie Ward (Caregiver/friend).

She had seven grandchildren; Shannan, Josh, Shanell, Melissa, Robert (deceased) Taylor, Cody and 6 great grandchildren.  She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 at Bowlin Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Thursday, June 20th, 2024 from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.  Pastor Mitch Coomer will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be, Terry Auvenshine, Ken Williams, Basil Ellis, Tommy Sledd, Loyd Cunningham.  Honorable Pallbearers will be the Arms Chapter 62.  Our family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for the amazing care that they provided.
