R. J. Carlton 1953 - 2025

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for R. J. Carlton, 71 of Corinth, MS, will be Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Visitation will be Friday, March 21, 2025 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East.

Mr. Carlton passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Country Cottage. He was born December 19, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan to Joe David Carlton and Ethel Lee Goddard. He was a P.C. Board Designer for the Adtran Company and was of the Church of Christ faith. He was a Tae Kwondo instructor, an avid reader and comic book collector.

R.J. is survived by his daughter, Amber Pierce; two grandchildren, Robert Olverson and Alexis Clayton; three great grandchildren, Leo Clayton, Lennox Clayton and Silas Clayton; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Jayson Carlton; his father, John Calvin “Jay Bird” Essary and his mother, Ethel Lee Goddard Essary. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. R. J. Carlton.
