The Greenfield High School Yellow Jackets went on the road Friday night to Gibson County High School, where they were handed a 42-7 loss in a non-region contest.

Greenfield’s lone touchdown came when senior Matt Scates intercepted a Gibson County pass and trucked it 70 yards to the end zone.

Eighth grader Kinzer Pratt, who was recently brought up from the junior high team, put it between the posts for his first extra point kick at the high school level.

With one game left, the Jackets currently stand at 1-7 overall for the season and 0-4 in region competition.

They will conclude their season at home this Friday night, Oct. 28, as they host the Lake County Falcons (6-3, 3-1) in a regional bout, starting at 7 p.m.

Greenfield will be honoring its football seniors Friday night before the game.
