Dresden Middle School Cross Country Kicks Off Season

Dresden Middle boys’ and girls’ cross country teams earned top placement at the West Tennessee Jackson Jamboree held at Union University this weekend. The Dresden boys’ team came in 3rd of 17 teams. Miles Cary won boys’ 2400 m race with a time of 9:02.6. Benjamin Petit (5th) and Wyatt Craig (11th) also earned top 15 finishes out of nearly 200 competitors. Other runners for DMS boys include Dax Rainey(40th, John Robert Jolley (51st) and Sebastian Hubbard (182nd).

 The DMS girls team came in 2nd overall of 16 teams. Hudson McDaniel came in second overall with a time of 9:15. Seven Dresden girls finished in the top 25 of 196 participants, Sasha Rodriquez (5th), Peyton Oliver (6th), and Emzy Collins (15th), Nella Wilhite (18th) Maggie Robinson (19th), and Kinsley Smith (23rd) . Also earning points for Dresden are Jillien Gallimore (32nd), Willow Eirwin (33rd), Gwendolyn Bounds (38th), Emillee Farrell (63rd), Megan Walker (72nd), Kinlee Harris (107th), and Maci Jo Buckley (109th)
