Dresden High School Cross Country Starts off the Season

The Jackson Jamboree cross country meet was held on the 10th at Union University. With almost 200 competitors participating in the boys’ race and 136 in the girls’ race, Dresden High School cross country teams are starting off the season on the right foot. The boys’ team earned 6th place out of 18 teams. Freshman, Vaughn Bounds, placed 28th with a time of 13:10.1. Also earning points for Dresden are Carson Brownlow-Rendon (42nd), Christian Pash (55th), Brice Rother (61st), Jesse Pash (63rd), and Carter Oliver (160th)

The Dresden girls’ cross country team placed 5th out of 11 teams. Dresden’s top female runner, Bailey Warthington, placed 22nd overall, followed closely by Lily Pash (28th). Also running strong for Dresden are Alivia Rainey (56th), Caroline Stephenson (61st), Tess Ogg (64th), and Molly Robinson (80th).

The next race for Dresden High School will be hosted by Dresden at the Adult learning center, Tuesday the 13th at 4pm. Come out and support your Lion Cross County teams.
