Dyersburg High School hosted the Trojan Invitational where Dresden High School Track and Field competed last Saturday.
DHS girls team earned 5th place overall. Running the 3200 meter, Bailey Collie brought home 1st place with a time of 13:25. Caroline Stevenson ran strong in the 1600 coming away with a 2nd place finish with a time of 6:43. The girls 4x400 m relay team came in 2nd place (Stevenson, Brenley Little, Collie and Gracie Kibbler). Another win for the Lady Lions was the 4x800 team (Little, Stevenson, Collie, and Tess Ogg). Ogg also finished 3rd in the 300m hurdles and 4th in the 100 hurdles. Lily Pash finished the 300 hurdles with a time of 58:53. The girls 4x200 team earned 5th. Competing in the 200 meter race was Rylee Cousins (10th), Kibbler (12th), and Alicia Ramos (13th). Ramos tied for 8th in the 400 meter, and Emma Ramsey placed 14th. In field events, Lily Pash and Tess Ogg competed in long jump and Allyssa Lavoine threw shot and discus.
Earning top spots for Dresden boys was Vaughn Bounds finishing 1st in the 800 m (2:11), and close 2nd in the 1600 (4:51). Carson Brownlow-Rendon came in 3rd for the 3200 m with a time of 11:15. Competing in the 800 was Jesse Pash (10th), and Carter Oliver (11). Running the 1600 was Brice Rother (4th), and Christian Pash (6th). The 3200 was also run by Oliver (5th), and Jesse Pash (6th). Asher Matheny finished 3rd in the 400 meter race, followed by Cavin Shofleth (11th), and Ryan Cousins (12th). Competing in the 200 was Shofleth (13th), Hayden Curry (14th), and Cousins (15th). Westley Turner finished 15th in the 100 meter dash. The Boys earned 2nd for the 4x800 meter (C.Pash, Rother, Brownlow-Rendon, and Bounds). DHS also had 4x200 and 4x400 teams compete in the races.
