DHS Competes at Dyersburg Trojan Invitational

Dyersburg High School hosted the Trojan Invitational where Dresden High School Track and Field competed last Saturday.

DHS girls team earned 5^th place overall. Running the 3200 meter, Bailey Collie brought home 1^st place with a time of 13:25. Caroline Stevenson ran strong in the 1600 coming away with a 2^nd place finish with a time of 6:43. The girls 4x400 m relay team came in 2^nd place (Stevenson, Brenley Little, Collie and Gracie Kibbler). Another win for the Lady Lions was the 4x800 team (Little, Stevenson, Collie, and Tess Ogg). Ogg also finished 3^rd in the 300m hurdles and 4^th in the 100 hurdles. Lily Pash finished the 300 hurdles with a time of 58:53. The girls 4x200 team earned 5^th. Competing in the 200 meter race was Rylee Cousins (10^th), Kibbler (12^th), and Alicia Ramos (13^th). Ramos tied for 8^th in the 400 meter, and Emma Ramsey placed 14^th. In field events, Lily Pash and Tess Ogg competed in long jump and Allyssa Lavoine threw shot and discus.

Earning top spots for Dresden boys was Vaughn Bounds finishing 1^st in the 800 m (2:11), and close 2^nd in the 1600 (4:51). Carson Brownlow-Rendon came in 3^rd for the 3200 m with a time of 11:15. Competing in the 800 was Jesse Pash (10^th), and Carter Oliver (11). Running the 1600 was Brice Rother (4^th), and Christian Pash (6^th). The 3200 was also run by Oliver (5^th), and Jesse Pash (6^th). Asher Matheny finished 3^rd in the 400 meter race, followed by Cavin Shofleth (11^th), and Ryan Cousins (12^th). Competing in the 200 was Shofleth (13^th), Hayden Curry (14^th), and Cousins (15^th). Westley Turner finished 15^th in the 100 meter dash. The Boys earned 2^nd for the 4x800 meter (C.Pash, Rother, Brownlow-Rendon, and Bounds). DHS also had 4x200 and 4x400 teams compete in the races.
